Twins add to 40 man roster

A couple of hours ago the Twins added four players to their 40 man roster.  The Twins added RHP David Bromberg, OF Joe Benson, 1B Chris Parmelee, and OF Rene Tosoni. There are now 38 players on the Twins 40 man roster, meaning there is still room for a free agent signing, Japanese free agent or a Rule 5 pick in the upcoming Rule 5 draft.  The team also re-signed Justin Huber to a minor league contract according to Joe Christensen of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.  Eric Hacker was also officially added to the 40 man roster.

If you want much more in-depth coverage of the Twins minor league system and todays additions to the 40 man roster, check out Seth Stohs Twins Minor League Weekly podcast tonight at 9:30 which can be found here (link) or visit sethspeaks.net.  Seth provides great coverage of the Twins and is far above anyone else when it comes to Minor League coverage.

With two spots open on the 40 man roster, it is interesting to wonder who will fill up those spots.  Currently the Twins have 11 Free Agents from last years team.
